The news letter comes out in about 5-7 days time and i need something to put in it. So if you could PM me with suggestions , i would be grateful and no natman im not gonna start a lonely hearts column. Im gonna post about cells new map (hopefully with some screenies) and the usual diatribe about whats happenning in the clan. I may even pester crytec again about crysis 2 but i still need some input from you guys. Anything is appropriate (within reason) say eth sprained his mouse hand and is an easy kill (easy easy) or suggestions for the forum (ie a in clan sales or trade page) . youve got a few days , so get thinking and pm ing .

Re: News letter Help

Well, a tech section would be great with information on current and upcoming improvements to international broadband.  Since we all need such hot PC's to play Crysis, etc. I thought that would be a good addition.  Maybe take a poll of what is the best system/components to play the game and list the answers and the winning system w/ details.

You could include links to relevant sites that offer PC/Internet news, products and/or services that will be helpful to the clan.

I obviously have a bias as I would JUMP on a new wireless technology that could match cable for speed and stability.  Right now, there is none.

Re: News letter Help

Yes dragon your right , unless you want to buy a business conection but that is out of the range for most people. I think most people dont take into consideration there distance from the server (hence lag time) , while bandwidth is always hyped ,crysis game only uses a certain amount of bwidth. Its the time info takes from getting A to B thats important , plus youve got all these diferent routers in between and some times data is split and recompiled at the end of transmission.I will research this and try get a better personal understanding and post my results in the letter. As for the tech spec for playing crysis wars , im afraid that topic is to big . i may try and put and extremely edited section in , but this would only be a gloss covering and not really answer 95% of anybodies questions.

regards red

tx for the reply

Re: News letter Help

Yeah, especially new players.  They don't even know what ping is.  It's a UNIX thing.  That's the only reason I knew what it was.  But I didn't know how RELEVANT it was in gaming when i first started playing online.  But anyway, we've got a couple of guys here that are even further away geographically from the server at multiplay than I am, Gi Ladouche and ARCTIC EAGLE.  But they have a good connection so they are ok.

Anyway, I know that is a huge topic so, np.
